Student Support Services Update 09/11/2020

Campus teachers are doing an amazing job supporting virtual and face-to-face learners. I have observed diverse instructional strategies across all campuses that are designed to reach every student. Our instructors are meeting the unique challenges presented during this school year and I am proud of them. Work demands are heavy and work hours are longer than usual, however, I have not heard complaints from staff; just questions and solutions on how we can improve in the dual environments.

Parents, please communicate any questions, concerns, or celebrations that you have regarding your child's education with their teacher, therapist, or case manager. The campus teams have been working together to create the best approaches for 504, dyslexia, and special education learners. Your input has been vital in the development and implementation of the strategies we use daily and continue to improve.

Make sure you talk to your child and review the progress before selecting virtual or face-to-face for the next nine weeks grading period. I would like to meet all of the students on campuses, however, health risk assessment will remain your choice. Safety comes first in the Jarrell ISD and that will remain throughout the year. A big thank you to the students, parents, staff, and administrative teams for being flexible and accommodating during this semester.
