Transportation Update

Update - September 4, 2020

Due to the ongoing construction in Jarrell Texas, route times may need to be adjusted. We will post updated route information on our websites and will communicate through social media.

Those students that live within a mile from your campus will not receive bus transportation and will need to walk, ride a bike or car ride.

Your student will be required to wear a mask at all times while riding the school bus. Each student while boarding the bus will be required to use the hand sanitizer.

Within the 1st week your student will be issued a SMART Tag that they will be required to tag on and off when they ride the bus. Do not put holes in the tag. This will damage the tags and they will have to have the be replaced. The cost to replace a tag is $5.

Your student will be assigned a seat and must sit in that assigned seat at all times while on the bus.

Mission

The overall mission of the Transportation Department is to provide students with a safe and timely bus ride to and from school for students residing in Jarrell ISD. We have the most caring and well trained drivers and staff to assure that your child arrives to school safely with minds open to learning.

Recognizing that the Jarrell ISD Community continues to grow and change monthly, please keep in mind that we may need to adjust a route or add additional routes to accommodate the growth and road construction happening in Jarrell. You will be notified of any changes that pertain to your child's route.

We have added additional links below for your convenience and hope that you will take a few moments to go over the Bus rider's handbook with your child.

Please feel free to call us at 512-746-4818 if you have any questions or concerns.

Looking forward to an AWESOME School year.

Sincerely,

Jarrell ISD Transportation Dept.
